I would like to highlight two curiosities about the book:
The first is that the author took more than 15 years to write it. Rothfuss began the story as a project during his university years, and it was originally much longer. Over time, he divided it into a trilogy called *The Kingkiller Chronicle*.
The second is that the protagonist, Kvothe, tells his story in a format that spans three days, a narrative device that gives the tale a unique and detailed structure.
